Skyscaper

Greetings and welcome again to my blog! These days, many singers are beginning to sing songs that deal with courage and perseverance to come back up again after a failed endeavor. One of these songs that I particularly like is Skyscraper by Demi Lovato.

If you haven't already heard the original, then I would seriously recommend it. The lyrics speak of a lady who has just experienced a failed relationship. From the tone of the words, it could be said that this is due to the guy's error. However, above the initial broken tone used therein lies a ray of hope and strength that though situations may put you down, one needs to have faith and confidence that there is a ray of hope at the end of the tunnel.

If you believe in yourself and if you refuse to let setbacks put you down, you can rise up again like a Skyscraper. You can be someone noticed for your success. There's a famous quote about failure by Winston Churchill that says "Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts." To me, this is a very powerful quote and "Skyscraper" is really a song that is able to put down emotions from music about courage and strength.  


There are many covers of skyscaper out there on Youtube but I would like you to listen to one that I particularly like. It's the one sang by another 2 of my favourite Youtube Artists, Boyce Avenue and Megan Nicole. Enough talking, here's the cover of Skyscraper!
